* I have updated the permissions for all usergroups - head on over to the gallery and have some fun, you should see less restrictions now *
I have to retype everything.  I'll try this again, Avant crashed in the middle of this post, and a member email...

I have updated and fixed the photo galleries.

You can have your own personal galleries.  You can create albums and upload photos.

Here's how.

What you are doing is Creating an Album Name and then uploading photos into that specific Album - Here are the instructions.

Log into the forums, then head over to the gallery - link's at the very top of the page.

Click on "Albums" (picture 1, below)

Use the drop down box to select " * My Gallery * "

Then click on "New" and type the name of the album you want to create underneath the "New" link (default is "New Album", just overwrite that with the new album name).

Click "Apply Modifications"

Now click on "Upload File" located in the main gallery links (picture 2, below)

Use the 5 boxes to choose the files to upload.  After this, you will be taken to the area to select which album to put them in, along with descriptions - and it's done.

any q's, post 'em here.

-Jeff

Luke,
You might want to resize before you try to upload. I had some issue in the past forum, but once I resized it went smooth. i cant speak for this one yet.

oh
you can upload a high resolution picture - the gallery will create the thumbnail and intermediate picture - once the picture with the information is displayed, you can click on the picture to open in a new window - this shows the full resolution of the pic - you can leave them as they are, it will work.

the crop and rotate is fixed.

some of the admin features were shown in the screenshots, you wont see them in the user cp.

Jeff,
I am liking this new forum more and more. Being able to upload full images is a huge plus for me. I am sure it is for you as well. One question about your digital cam. What type of batteries are you using. I have rechargables, but they seem to run out pretty quickly. I was wondering if you used them and what brand they are.

just want to clarify it - you can upload full size pictures to the forum and the gallery - the difference is that if you upload to the gallery, you can crop the photo to reduce the width and height - I don't think this forum supports cropping and resizing, but, it does allow full size image uploading, up to like a 5 meg picture.

I have the standard batteries that came with the camera - takes 4 AA batteries, and I can fill a card on a full charge - about 250 +/- pic's.
