Konica Minolta signs up as Official Partner of Formula BMW Europe.

Munich, 17th July 2008. Formula BMW Europe is set to unveil a new official series partner at Hockenheim in the shape of Konica Minolta. The multifunctional colour systems, production print and software solutions specialist will see its logo appear on the race cars and drivers’ overalls as part of its involvement in the successful entry-level formula racing series.

BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen welcomed the new Official Partner on board: “We are delighted to present Konica Minolta as a new partner for the Formula BMW Europe series. As a leading supplier in its segment, Konica Minolta makes a great match for Formula BMW – the leading entry-level race series into professional motor sport."

Carlos Baart, Manager Corporate Communications of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, is really looking forward to the forthcoming cooperation: “The two premium brands Konica Minolta and BMW both stand for high quality products and performance. The Formula BMW Europe is all about speed, endurance, trust and reliability – the very same attributes users of our products can always count on. It is the competitive and international character of the Formula BMW Europe we particularly appreciate and identify with.”

Being an Official Partner of the racing series, Konica Minolta can now grant its partners an exclusive “backstage” insight to the race car scene as part of the Formula BMW Guest Experience Programme: During the events partners and visitors get access not only to the Members’ Lounge area but also to the paddock. There, they have the opportunity to meet the drivers and teams of Formula BMW Europe and also get some insights about the organisation of a racing series from the BMW Motorsport personnel. Throughout the weekend, the guests will experience the touch and feel of motor sport.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe is a leading supplier of printing and communication systems, and delivers its products to more than 50 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Konica Minolta has its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and employs over 21,000 people around the world. The company generated sales of 4.4 billion euros in the last financial year.
