TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec, Canada  --Turner Motorsport will be defending last year's win on the streets of Trois-Rivieres this weekend - just one week after installing two cars on the podium in Iowa. The team is in Quebec, Canada for the exciting Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres weekend and the team is banking on their past experience and technology to successfully defend their victory in 2007. The Koni Challenge GS class will be racing on Sunday morning while the ST class takes to the track Saturday.

The Turner team has been visiting Trois-Rivieres for many years - first racing there in the SCCA World Challenge series and again with the Grand-Am Koni Challenge series. In Grand-Am competition, Turner Motorsport has won twice with the H&R Springs/StopTech BMW M3s (2007 and 2005) and finished on the podium three other times. Last year was a thrilling victory for the team with two Turner Motorsport BMW M3s battling traffic and challenging track conditions (see video link below). At the checkered flag, Bill Auberlen in the #96 Motul Lubricants/StopTech Brakes BMW M3 held on for the victory, thanks in large part to the StopTech Brakes fitted to the M3. Auberlen will be back in the seat this weekend along with co-driver Matt Alhadeff. They teamed up for a podium finish in the Turner M3 in Iowa this past weekend.

Also racing an M3 this weekend is Don Salama and Bryan Ortiz in the #97 H&R Springs/Nova Derm/OCG/GoToPuertoRico.com BMW M3. Salama is no stranger to Trois-Rivieres either - his car started from the front row here last year and finished tenth with team-owner Will Turner in the #97 M3. At last weekend's race in Iowa, Salama and Ortiz started from the third row and were solidly in the top five for much of the race.

Back behind the wheel, and fresh from their own podium finish in Iowa, are VJ Mirzayan and Matt Bell in the #95 H&R Springs/Borla Exhaust BMW 330i. VJ and Matt did everything right last weekend in Iowa, delivering their first podium finish to the team. In last year's race, Turner Motorsport put the #95 330i on the podium in third place. In ST competition, Turner Motorsport has never finished lower than fifth at Trois-Rivieres.

The Turner BMW team has enjoyed tremendous success at Trois-Rivieres in the last few seasons, helped by the industry's leading performance brands – H&R Springs, StopTech Brakes, Motul Lubricants, Pagid Brake Pads, Borla Exhaust, and Piloti Driving Shoes. These long-time sponsors and partners of the Turner Motorsport BMWs have made large contributions to the 5 championships that the team has earned in the last five years.

The Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres weekend has something for everyone. The Koni Challenge sports cars share the schedule with Star Mazda formula series, Canadian Touring racing, and the NASCAR Canadian Tire series. It's an action-packed weekend with our enthusiastic Canadian fans. Practice is throughout the day on Friday with Qualifying on Saturday morning. The Koni ST race gets underway at 1:30pm Saturday afternoon and the GS race is Sunday morning at 9:10am.
