WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, Watkins Glen, NY (July 2, 2008) -- Turner Motorsport hopes to add to the flash and excitement this holiday weekend when they hit the Watkins Glen race course for another round of the Koni Challenge sports car endurance series. The Turner BMWs are past leaders at The Glen and favorites heading into this Saturday's 250-mile race.

It was last year on the 3.4 mile circuit that both Turner Motorsport BMW M3 coupes led the GS class of the Grand-Am Cup race - first the #97 M3 piloted by Don Salama, then the #96 M3 with Bill Auberlen behind the wheel. And in the ST class, the #95 330i started from the second row. The Turner team is hoping of more of the same this year and then some as they feel this is a track that suits the BMWs well.

Driving in the #96 Motul Lubricants/StopTech Brakes BMW M3 will be Bill Auberlen, a past winner of the Watkins Glen 6-Hour race, and Matt Alhadeff. Piloting the #97 H&R Springs/Nova Derm/OCG/GoToPuertoRico.com BMW M3 is Bryan Ortiz and Don Salama. And behind the wheel of the #95 H&R Springs/Borla Exhaust BMW 330i are Matt Bell and VJ Mirzayan.

Bill Auberlen, #96 Motul Lubricants/StopTech Brakes BMW M3: "Watkins Glen has something for everyone but the BMW M3s are especially well-suited here. It's a seriously fast track with a lot of high speed corners and important braking zones. You need two things to be fast here: awesome handling and phenomenal braking. We have both thanks to H&R and StopTech Brakes. I'm hoping it will be Turner blue-yellow all over the podium again."

Will Turner, team owner: "We've always done pretty well here. It's another track here in the Northeast that Turner Motorsport has been thousands of laps on. I think we have the most-experienced Glen driver lineup than we have ever had and our team is as strong as ever. All of the ingredients are there and as long as everyone does their job we should come out as winners in both classes here this weekend."

On track with Turner Motorsport are some of the most highly developed products in the racing and tuning world. Turner Motorsport depends on the best names in the industry for their race and championship-winning machines – H&R Springs, StopTech Brakes, Borla Exhaust, Pagid Racing brake pads, Motul Lubricants, and Piloti Driving Shoes.

This weekend's Koni Challenge action begins Thursday with practice. Then qualifying is Friday afternoon. The 2.5 hour, 250-mile race will headline Saturday's festivities at 4:40pm ET. The track will play host to Independence Day festivities all weekend. A fireworks display is on for Friday night.
