AMESBURY, MA - Turner Motorsport BMWs return to Lime Rock Park this weekend for the Grand-Am - Koni Challenge and Speed World Challenge Touring Car series. The Turner squad has won multiple times at Lime Rock in both series and will be looking to build on a Lime Rock win streak stretching back to 2004.

Lime Rock is the home track for Turner Motorsport. Team owner Will Turner grew up in nearby Canton, CT. In recent years, the home track environment has suited the Turner BMWs well – 5 wins (including 4 since 2004), 5 poles, 7 podiums, and 21 top ten finishes.

For 2008, Turner Motorsport is attacking the annual Memorial Day sports car races on nearly all fronts - two BMW M3s and a BMW E46 330i in the usual Koni Challenge GS and ST classes. They've also "un-retired" the championship-winning BMW 325i for the pair of Speed Touring Car races this weekend.

Will Turner, Team Owner: "We had a long break from Daytona in January and amid all the testing, building new BMW E90 racecars, and upgrading our existing Koni Challenge cars, we found the time to dust off another race-winning BMW for the Touring Car races. We still hold 3 out of 4 Touring Car records at Lime Rock - the qualifying lap record, race lap record, and fastest average race speed."

The nearly four-month break in the Koni Challenge schedule was filled with a lot of testing. The team made extensive updates on suspension development -- adding Koni shocks (mandatory for 2009) and optimizing the setup with H&R springs.

Bill Auberlen, #96 H&R Springs/StopTech Brakes BMW M3 (GS): "I'm pumped up for this weekend. We have such a great relationship with the track that you can just feel that you're going to do well. The StopTech M3s did a lot of miles in testing since Daytona so we're all looking forward to another excellent weekend and maybe even another win for the Turner fans on the hill."

Bryan Ortiz, #97 Turner Motorsport/Nova Derm/OCG/gotopuertorico.com BMW M3 (GS): "Our goal this year is to win the championship and our efforts begin here at Lime Rock. I've never driven this track so I'm counting on the experience of Turner Motorsport and my co-driver Don Salama to put our Nova Derm/OCG/gotopuertorico.com BMW M3 on the top step of the podium. The team has been hard at work in the shop and on the test track so we'll be a top contender here this weekend."

Matt Bell, #95 H&R Springs/Borla Exhaust BMW 330i (ST): "The H&R 330i, and my co-driver VJ Mirzayan, showed a lot of potential in Daytona. Lime Rock is the team's home track and they'll give us a winning car right from the start. The four month break from Daytona seemed like forever but we're here now focusing on another win for the Turner team."

Racing action runs throughout the weekend at Lime Rock Park – practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, the Koni Challenge ST race and a Speed Touring Car race on Saturday, and the Koni Challenge GS race and another Speed Touring Car race on Monday.

The Speed Channel will broadcast the Koni Challenge races on Saturday, May 31 at 8:00 PM ET. The Speed Touring Car races will be broadcast on Wednesday, June 4 at 1:00 PM ET.

Lime Rock is a very family-friendly race venue. Turner Motorsport welcomes all our fans and customers to our home event. All of our friends play a vital role in the success of our team and we want you there, joining in the fun. We also want to credit our sponsors for their contributions -- H&R Springs, StopTech Brakes, Borla Exhaust, Pagid, Motul, and Piloti Driving Shoes. Join us for a weekend full of racing at one of the most beautiful race tracks in the country!
