ORLANDO, Fla. – Rob Finlay will make his debut with Automatic Racing during next weekend’s KONI Challenge GS race at Lime Rock Park, co-driving the No. 99 Mobile-Shop BMW M3 with Steve Cameron.

Finlay is no stranger to KONI Challenge, but up until now he has been some of Automatic Racing’s toughest competition. Finlay made his KONI Challenge debut in 2004, scoring a top-10 finish at Watkins Glen.

He was soon a top competitor in the series, driving to a podium finish during the 2005 series opener at Daytona International Raceway. The next year was even better: three podium finishes in the Grand Sport class included a race win at Barber Motorsports Park. Finlay has also tasted success in the Rolex Series, finishing seventh in the team point standings in 2006. Last year, Finlay competed in a Daytona Prototype with Ganassi Racing, earning a best finish of second at Iowa Speedway.

Now, Finlay is hoping to continue earning top results behind the wheel of the No. 99 Mobile-Shop Automatic Racing BMW M3.

“I’ve always enjoyed getting to race against Automatic on the track, and I’m looking forward to teaming up with them,” commented Finlay. “They’re a successful team with a professional but fun attitude, and I’m going to enjoy being in an M3 again.”

Finlay is teaming up with Steve Cameron, who has back-to-back 24 Hours of Daytona victories to his credit, winning in 1992 and 1993. In addition, the Finlay Motorsports Team Manager has been a test driver for Atlantic, Formula 1, GTO, GTP and Vintage race programs.

The Mobile-Shop BMW M3 will be at every KONI Challenge round for the remainder of the season. Mobile-Shop specializes in the production of an exclusive suite of products known as the Mobile-Shop System. The tool and parts organizer is designed for property maintenance and construction personnel, allowing them to easily transport their tools throughout job sites. More information about Mobile-Shop can be found online at www.Mobile-Shop.com.

“We’re very happy to welcome Rob and Steve to Automatic Racing,” commented team owner Jep Thornton. “They’re both very accomplished racers, and we’re happy to have them running with us now. We’ve seen first-hand what they can do on the track, and we look forward to working with them this season.”

Finlay, Cameron and the new Mobile-Shop Automatic Racing BMW M3 can be seen at Lime Rock Park next weekend. Following qualifying on Saturday, May 24, the KONI Challenge Grand Sport race will be held on Monday’s Memorial Day holiday at 9:45 a.m.
