Turner team feels at home in the hills of Connecticut

LIME ROCK PARK, Lakeville, CT - May 25, 2007 - Turner Motorsport returns to Lime Rock Park in Connecticut for this weekend's 5th round of the KONI Challenge sports car series. The Massachusetts-based team is always a crowd-favorite at Lime Rock Park, mostly due to the years of success that team owner Will Turner has had racing in front of his home crowd.

Connecticut native Will Turner and his co-driver Don Salama, another veteran of Lime Rock Park, will be taking the wheel of their #97 H&R Springs/Turner Motorsport BMW M3 starting with practice on Friday.

Will Turner, team owner and pilot, #97 H&R Springs/Turner Motorsport BMW M3:
"Lime Rock means a lot to me and to the team as a whole. Everyone on our team loves to come here and soak up the Memorial Day weekend atmosphere. It's really something special. And winning here is something we're very good at – we've won here in 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006 and hopefully in 2007 as well. A win here is extra special because all of our family and closest friends are here to celebrate. I think we'll be in great shape for the races on Saturday and Monday."

Also in the GS class, Bill Auberlen and Chris Gleason will be hunting for their third podium of the year. They form a fearsome pair in the #96 H&R Springs/StopTech Brakes/Gleason Financial BMW M3 – Gleason has been racing at Lime Rock since the early-1970s and his experience in endurance races has proven to be invaluable this year. Auberlen was won in just about every type of car at Lime Rock. In three of the last five races here, Auberlen has won while driving a Turner Motorsport BMW.

Bill Auberlen, #96 H&R Springs/StopTech Brakes/Gleason Financial BMW M3:
"This track suits me perfectly. For one, it's an easy track to drive but it's very fast and you have to have your wits about you. And I think I feed off the crowd and their passion. It fuels me to try harder each lap, to push the car and me more and more. I think we're looking really good for this weekend. I know the Turner crew will give us an amazing car and we're going to have a great race thanks to H&R, StopTech, and Motul."

Driving the #95 H&R Springs/Turner Motorsport BMW 330i are Trevor Hopwood and Adam Burrows. They have had a stellar start to the season - two podiums and top ten finishes in each of the four races this season. And both drivers have cut their teeth on the roller-coaster Lime Rock circuit with considerable success.

In addition to Turner Motorsport Inc, H&R Springs, and StopTech Brakes, Borla Exhaust, Motul Lubricants, Pagid Racing, and Piloti Driving Shoes will be assisting the team this year. Products from each of these companies are proudly used on the TMS racecars and have been proven winners in years past.

Lime Rock is an action-filled weekend with practice all-day on Friday and Saturday morning. Qualifying will be on Saturday – noon for the Street Tuner class and 1:45pm for the Grand Sport class. The Street Tuner race will be Saturday afternoon, starting at 2:15pm. The Grand Sport race will kick off Monday's action at 10:00am. Each race is slated for 400 kilometers (163 laps, 2.5 hours).

The SPEED Channel will be broadcasting the GS race on June 10 at 3:00pm ET.
