In a very wet 9:00 a.m. qualifying session for today's second of two Speed GT races this weekend, the four BMW Team PTG M3s qualified third, fourth, fifth and seventh for Round 4 of the SCCA Pro Racing Speed GT Championship at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.

With a lap of 1:11.418 around the 1.53-mile Lime Rock circuit, Bill Auberlen set the third fastest time in his No. 7 Team PTG M3. In fourth, with a lap of 1:12.300, was the No. 6 Team PTG M3 of Boris Said. However, Said suffered a heavy crash on his last lap and the crew will have a long one hour and 45 minutes to try to get his M3 ready for the 11:15 a.m. start. Hans
Stuck set the fifth fastest time (1:13.562) in the No. 8 BMW Team PTG M3. Justin Marks put his No. 80 Team PTG M3 in seventh with a time of 1:15.328.

Rain is in today's forecast for the 50-minute Speed GT race that is scheduled to start at 11:15 a.m.

BILL AUBERLEN, NO. 7 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (third):
"The conditions are much worse than the qualifying session for the first race, but my M3 is much better. We may have been able to go for the pole, but we talked about it on the radio and made the decision to stick with third and save the car."

BORIS SAID, NO. 6 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (fourth):
"I was pushing hard on my last lap and just after my teammate Justin pulled over to let me by on the back straight I hit a puddle and hydroplaned into the guardrail. I certainly could not fix my M3, but I know the PTG guys can."

HANS STUCK, NO. 8 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (fifth):
"I never had a clear lap and then had to come into the pits to have oil cleaned off the windshield. The main thing was to survive this session and get to the race."

JUSTIN MARKS, NO. 80 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (seventh):
"It was a good session for me and I am higher up than I expected. We qualified 12th on Saturday, but we made a few more changes to the M3 and I was more confident with the car."
