Test in Barcelona.
Day one - Wednesday

Weather conditions: Dry and sunny, air: 15-21°C, track: 18-29°C
Number of cars participating: 18
Fastest lap overall: 1:14.955, Heikki Kovalainen, Renault R26, Michelin

Nick Heidfeld :
Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.06-07 / BMW P86 V8
Test kilometres today: 341 km (74 laps)
Fastest lap: 1:15.917 s (lap 69)

Robert Kubica:
Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.06-06 / BMW P86 V8
Test kilometres today: 434 km (94 laps)
Fastest lap: 1:15.974 s (lap 43)

For Nick part of the day was spent working on brake packages and for Robert set-up work. However, they both worked on aero testing and also tyre testing for Michelin.

What comes next:
Tomorrow Nick Heidfeld will continue testing in chassis 07 and be joined by Jacques Villeneuve, who will take over testing in chassis 06 from Robert Kubica. Their main work will be tyre evaluation for Michelin in preparation for the race at the Barcelona circuit on the 14th May.
