Team PTG BMW M3s to start fourth, sixth, 12th and 25th for Speed GT Round 3 |

In a very wet morning qualifying session before today's first of two Speed GT races this weekend, the four BMW Team PTG M3s qualified fourth, sixth, 12th and 25th for Round 3 of the SCCA Pro Racing Speed GT Championship at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.
With a lap of 1:11.196 around the 1.53-mile Lime Rock circuit, Boris Said set the fourth fastest time in his No. 6 Team PTG M3. In sixth, with a lap of 1:12.328, was the No. 8 Team PTG M3 of Hans Stuck, and starting his second race for BMW Team PTG, Justin Marks put his No. 80 Team PTG M3 in 12th with a time of 1:15.698. Bill Auberlen experienced mechanical problems and qualified the No. 7 BMW Team PTG M3 25th with a time of 1:27.080.
More rain is forecast for the 50-minute Speed GT race that is scheduled to start at 1:45 p.m. today.
BORIS SAID, NO. 6 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (fourth):
"It was tough conditions and I kept finding traffic. To keep from running into the back of someone I spun and tagged the tire wall on the downhill. Overall the M3 is good, the track is just very slippery. I lost maybe a second under the bridge with traffic on my last lap, but it was still my quickest."
HANS STUCK, NO. 8 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (sixth):
"It was a holiday on ice. The track was very slippery and it was difficult to keep the car on the track. This track can be tricky and the more laps you run here the more you learn that. The biggest problem is traction, but we are good in braking. If the weather stays like this it will be a survival race, that is for sure."
JUSTIN MARKS, NO. 80 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (12th):
"It was very wet and I changed my line every lap to find grip. We made many changes to soften up the car and we will try to soften it up even more for the race. It was so slippery in this session it did not much matter what we did. You just tried to stay on the track."
BILL AUBERLEN, NO. 7 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (25th):
"That was a dismal session. There was no grip anywhere so there is something wrong, but the guys will find it. I could spin the rear tires in any gear anywhere on the track. As fast as these PTG M3s usually are and as well as they are prepared, as they always are, problems do not last long."
