(Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) April 9, 2004 -- Formula BMW USA will kick off the 2004 season April 12 and 13 with the first of 10 scheduled official test sessions. Formula BMW USA teams and drivers will spend two days at Sebring International Raceway getting to know their new Formula BMW FB2s and each other.
Meeting again for the first time since the January licensing school and scholarship shoot-out in Valencia, Spain will be four BMW Junior drivers, Graham Rahal (Team Rahal); Jonathan Summerton (HBR Motorsport), and Tom Milner and Billy Johnson (Team PTG). They will be joined by Red Bull driver Matt Jaskol (Team Autotecnica), Tom Sutherland (Team PTG), Alexis Fenton (Team Autotecnica) and Andreas Wirth (HBR Motorsport).
BMW Motorsport and Michelin North America technical staff will support the Formula BMW USA teams in Sebring. Track orientation and practice begins at 10:00 am EDT on Monday. Teams will be on track from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday.
