I missed that in first post.  I was looking at the pictures. So, Baur Targa, is that some euro-only trim package?  And, what was the little ragtop being restored?

well Baur used to make the very first BMW covertibles,

they came out of the factory as coupes, and were made into targas by Baur

Baur did a couple of models:E21,E24,E30, and even E36

and yes,the car's getting a new top aswell! Smiley

allright, time 4 some updates on this car!

the M10B18 was proffesionally tossed into the canal by me!
the car has undergone a total undercarriage makeover first, Hartge springs, shocks, rollbars etc..
325i brakes, controlarms etc...

last but not least a Hartge tuned M20B27 with LSD pounding out 204hp unmodified!

some pics:

Very nice looking car, just as good as my 1987 325e T C Baur.  As a matter of interest do you know where to obtain parts for the central lock on the hard top?  I reside in Australia and have been searching the world but without success.

4 lugs - on all e30's except the M3 - that's 5 - you can do the 5 lug conversion, but it requires parts from an e28 5 series from what I hear (strut tower and wheel hub) - but I don't see why you can't just use an e30 M3 hub and/or strut tower...?

who can look into this for me?  seems like the market is made for 5 lug wheels instead of 4 prodominantely .
