i have a 1998 328i. since there is already twin exhaust pipes, would it help or hurt performance to have 2 mufflers? the only upgrade i have is a cold air intake.

If two mufflers would flow more air it could help, but it would likley weigh more.  There are several good tuned exhausts for your car with a single muffler.

more airflow doesnt always help. with some engines you can have to much airflow and it can hurt performance. i was wondering if anyone has tried it.
