Hi,
i have original BMW security alarm that can unlock the door with the remote. It worked pretty poor, i had to be really close to car to unlock it. I changed the battery in the remote but it didn't help at all. Anyway, the unlock system with the remote stopped working. I have to unlock the door with the key. Where to search for a cause?
Second interesting thing is that when i turn on the siren under the hood with the key - the car won't start  Shocked Is it some kind of security system? I guess it just cuts off the gas or something...
Here's pic of it:

I've checked all the fuses (31,34,43,47) and they seem fine. Where to look for the anti-theft system sensor or control unit? Where is it placed in E36? Any ideas?
Thanks.

OK, my security alarm and central locking is working again! It was something with the remote. The AC guy fixed this during my AC fill (he charged 0$ for this fix  Grin)
