I've had my car a little over a year.  It is my first BMW.  In the beginning I was a little leary of working on it.  Then I found that link to the DIY section and it opened a whole new world.  I was much more confident to tackle projects because you knew the tricks and tips.

No doubt, most of what I've learned has come from this forum and another.  So often you think your problem is unique, then you find a thread and many other guys have had the same problem.  And often the fix isn't as bad as you think it will be.

http://www.bimmerdiy.com/

This is another DIY site, the one listed on the first post may not work.  This site also includes other models.
