Hiya guys,
a little story from me...
Last year I went to Australia for about 8 months, and after one week in Sydney I bought the best (& only ride) in my life!!!
I bought this great big super cool chunky piece of metal, called a Toyota Landcruiser.
The car was nothing like I had ever seen, in holland we only drive little cars, and this was a dream come true.
My Holie Cow (as it was called after 3 months) had a 3980cc 6cyl diesel engine, with 103!!! horsepower

and a really cool 4 speed gearbox (with half a metre of stick on it!)
After driving it around for a while, a lot of things were broken, it burned oil like hell (I drove about 100kmh/60mph for 200km/120miles and it drank it all....

).
I could die and cry, what had happened to the ride of my life??? The guy that sold it to me told me I shouldn't drive it too fast.
So I went to a nearby garage, got it serviced for a lot of money, and away we could go again.
It kept on using oil, but I was getting used to it, and made sure the "beast" wouldn't revv up too much, and I would keep the speed on a max of 80kmh/45mph...
Always having spare oil with me (one time I just bought a 20liter drum, that saved me for 10.000 km/6.000miles LOL), I had another problem.
When I got back from New-Zealand, having put my car for a month at a very nice farm of some old, very kind, lady, I had a visitor in the car....
When driving home it crawled on the inside of the windshield, and landed on my bare feet!!!

After surviving that, and working in Sydney for 2 months, we (some friends of mine actually) discovered another prob with the car.
We had to check the car out, because we were going to drive it for 4000km/2800miles with 6!! ppl in it, and all the lugage.

The problem was that the car had a big rusthole in the bottom (that's where the name
Holie Cow came from):

We decided to get the car fixed up, by "borrowing" this from some streets:

And buying ourselves some black spray paint:

And spraying the "borrowed" sign:

After that we had to adapt the sign so that it would fit over the hole

, best way is supposedly to drive over it with a 3000kg weighing machine!!!:

After some hammering and pop rivets (what a loveley things):

I was all happy again and "sitting" behind the wheel of my machine!!!

:D:D:D

More happened, but that is for the next story....
In memory of Holie Cow, thanks for the great time you've given to me...
I miss it
