1990 BMW e30 325i 2001 Corvette

« on: Thursday, January 13, 2005 - 10:46 PM »

It's been 6 years since I've been on Edgewater Drive - just west of I-4 on highway 50.  It runs north/south.

I was driving around tonite, for about 3 hours.  I hit up a coffee shop in Winter Park that I've been meaning to get to - so I went, even though it was about a 30 min drive, I just did it FOR THE DRIVE.

I left there, and was headed toward downtown Orlando, and decided to head up Edgewater drive, because I read about a coffee shop that was there.

I'm heading up and find this place called "infusion" (i think) - I made a u-turn, and parked, headed on in.

I tell the lady working there that it's been 6 years since I've been on edgewater drive - because...ever since my girlfriend broke up with me ( well, just left in the middle of the night - no call/no note ) in december of 1999, I told myself not to drive on Edgewater drive ever again - because she lived on Edgewater - just a couple miles north of this coffee shop.  So here I was - having a couple shots of espresso.  She tells me that she trys to stay away from the airport, namely - Lake Margaret Drive - which happens to be 1 mile north of my house.  That just seemed funny to me, so I told her..."wow, you try to stay away from my street, and I'm trying to stay off your's...what are the chances of that" - 1 in 10 trillion.

I'll be back there, nice place - nice art...very modern, 3 weeks new.

There is some interesting psychology in this thread.  You are thinking about the drive, I was concerned about the coffee and Clint wanted to know about the girl.  BTW, how was the drive.  It was like 18 degrees here today.

I consider just about anytime in a car to be well spent. I enjoy driving, so that was a given for me. Coffee is a must and I try not to travel too far without it. Whether it is regular or gourmet, I just like the stuff. Females on the other hand are totaly unpredicatable and therefore require the most thought. I just thought it was crazy that they met while trying to stay away from the area that each other live in. Very unique Jeff.
