the old forum was crap.  I spent the last 2 years modifying the board - and this board here, comes complete with everything I ever built into phpBB - so we're making the move to this one - a fresh clean new start - I have a lot of faith in this board - so let's pick up where we left off.

have any questions - mail me

Hi Jeff,

Sorry I haven't been around lately. Seems like every time I came avisiting there was something up with the site.

This new format is very refreshing! I look forward to a newer better set of forums.

It seems kind of funny that I'm the first one in...on a whim; I surfed over to BMWsport and within seconds I received the e-mail about the new forum Shocked

GMTA - was working on this for a couple hours tonite - im real tired right now though.

do appreciate you dropping by - i'm sure this forum will be 10x better than the old.

It took so long because I had to find one that would suit all the members needs.

I'll get to copying over a few good posts from the old board here pretty soon.

you can turn on quick reply and other options from your profile settings - change the date format, pretty much anything based on the functionality of the board on this theme, you can change.

thanks Smiley

there's a lot you can put in your profile through the profile link - and then click on "Forum Profile Information" under "Modify Profile" on the left menu, when you're in the Profile section.

I'll keep you posted there...maybe there is one thing...

Well, sorry I couldn't have offered my services earlier, but now that I see you have a new board going first of all congradulation s and second of all I can offer any help with javascript and ASP that you might need.  Never worked with PHP, but I could pick that one up in a few days if you need.  Good luck!

There have some new members to sign up, but they aren't posting yet.  We need something to encourge them to contribute.

Dport,
I think you are right about that. I know that when you  find a new site, it is sometimes hard to post something for the first time. Jaff may already be doing this, but what if we sent them a personal message welcoming them to the site and encouraging them to take an active role. Just a thought.

One thing here is that we don't yet have any attitude.  Ask a question or post some info and the repsonse has been straight forward.  So I would think that no one should feel intimidated to post here.

exactly Dean

some forums get popular with a little aggression, and attitude - I'd like this one to be popular based on great members and a clean comfortable environment, like what it is now - unless we're raving about some racing, or bmw designs Smiley

Clint, I have done that in the past, and do still if a member who registers, activates their acct.  It's a good idea to send them a msg.

Guys,
I agree. We have a great foundation. Everyone one is very helpful and straight forward with things. I don't think we need the "tude" that a lot of other sites provide.
