The company I work for, Arrow-Speed Warehouse, in Kansas City has one for sure and possibly two positions open. We are an after-market performance parts and accessories wholesale distribtor. I am not the hiring authority. I am one of the supervisors and new hires usually start by working in my group. I do most of training and oreintation. My recommendation can help. Job duties involve phone sales and technical asssitance to our customers who are parts stores, dealer/installers and independent jobbers. You work in a cubicle and are on the phone all day. You perform catalog look-up, some tech/troubleshooting and customer service. It is generally Monday through Friday work. The phone room is staffed 7 am to 8 pm, but the majority of the work is between 8 and 6. Arrow-Speed has been around for over thirthy years. They offer a complete benfits package. There is not a relocation package associated with this opening. New hires usually start off being paid straight hourly. Around the 60-90 day period when you have demonstrated proficiency with techinal assistance and can handle an appropriate call volume you switch to an hourly plus commsion pay scale. Pay generally starts in the $400 per week range. Previous call center experience is a plus, along with parts experience. General automotive knowlegde is essential.
