There is an E21 for sale here near me and I am thinking of buying it as a daily driver but I have some q's

it is an automatic any known problems with these trannys ( older VW trannies like to puke after 75K miles...)

the motor... any known problems, it is a 320i I think...

Anything else I should know?

It is mint. Perfect interior, near perfect exterior (one ding on the passenger door) New paint...

I was doing some reading and didn't find many complaints about the transmissions.  What year, how many miles, how much?  Sounds like it could be a nice one.

I called on it lastnight and went and drove it...

I'm in love.

It's a '83 320. 6 banger of course. 120K miles PERFECT interior drives like new (he just had the suspension done and the brakes)...

Registered Classic collector car in Colorado... the guy just moved here and bought a brand new M3 and doesn't have room for it in the garage next to his E30 M3, M5, or new M3...

He is the third owner... His uncle was the owner before him and of course his grandpa was the owner before that.

How much better can you get? $1200...

I need to come up with $400... quick...

Sounds sweet.  Nice history too.  Do they still buy blood?  How much could you get?  I'll bet you can come up with money.  And remember cash is king!  They'll take what ever you come up with.

you can get $10k for a kidney.

I had an 82 320i, inline 4, and an 81 316i, inline 4 - the 320i was perfect, only had to replace the clutch - excellent car, really.

That's too bad, sounded like a nice car.  Maybe the next one will be a stick.  That would be best, anyway.
