Title: Scuderia Torro Rosso Hires American Brook Johnston For 2010! Post by: castrolbimmer83 on Monday, September 15, 2008 - 07:08 PM Formula One finally has a fresh new face grown right here in the United States! Brook Johnston who is thee recent FIA Formula BMW International world champion had tested for Torro Rosso a few months ago and has now been announced as a back up and test driver for Mateschitz's failing program (excluding the amazing Monza triumph). Although Torro Rosso is running on Ferrari engines, they are still no match to win a world championship and they are once again bringing in the next American open wheel prodigy since Scott Speed to grab a hold of a diminishing Minardi-based program. I think Johnston will be a much better choice than was Speed, however Im not sure Torro Rosso can prove the youngsters driving well. Yet, they plan on molding him for a season which is a much wiser choice in my opinion before releasing him into the back of the pack. After some momentary success by Vettel, could Torro Rosso make a turn around and provide the right car and team for the native Californian? Could this youngsters middle name be Sebastian?
