Well,
Hartge did it again, they put an M5 engine into a 1 series!!!
It was in the Essen motorshow in Germany, and I'd almost gone there, if my friend told me before it ended :(.

Well, bout the car,
it has a M5 e39 engine in it, from the "old" M5, the standard 400BHP V8, tuned to 450BHP,
with a max torque of 510Nm. It reaches a top speed of over 300kmh.
To get the V8 in the 1, Hartge put in a completely new exhaust system.
The car has 19" wheels, 235/35/19 in the front and 265/30/19 on the rear end.
It also got the dif and brakes of the M3 (I suppose they mean the e46).
Some other interesting things are the Bilstein shocks, sportseats and steeringwheel, and the speedometer goes till 320.
And look at that sexy exhaust  8)
In germany you can buy it for € 105.000, dunno if they'll bring it to the US, but hell, they cannot drive a 450BHP 1 Series there without the nice autobahns!!!

AND SHE CAN TURN A WRENCH!! her car has never been to a mechanic she has done everything herself..

Back to the 1 series I found the car in a parking lot yesterday and sat by it for an hour...

no dice on the owner though maybe I will get him some other time...

I can't believe that engine could fit, but I guess it can with enough money
