Weather: dry, overcast. Max Temp: Air 20°C, Track 38°C, Humidity 37% Imola (ITA). Juan Pablo Montoya scored another podium finish today, achieving third position. The BMW WilliamsF1 Team also collected some more points with Ralf Schumacher's 7th position.Juan Pablo Montoya: 3rd Chassis: FW26 05 Best time: 1:21.870 min (lap 27, 6th overall)The first lap was very tough. Michael Schumacher had a poor start and was slow out of the first chicane and the first few corners. I tried to pass him but he closed the door twice. I had to back off but when I tried again he hit me and pushed me out on to the grass. I am very disappointed as this was not fair racing. Jenson had an incredibly fast pace, therefore third is the best I could do today since our car was just not quick enough. We need to improve our complete package to be competitive in order to catch-up with the leaders....

The team has spent the intervening three week period that followed the three long haul races completing two intensive test programmes at Barcelona and Paul Ricard. Having successfully tested several new aerodynamic components and completed almost 6,000 kilometres, the team enters Europe with a revised confidence in their competitiveness and a determination to narrow the margin to the leaders....

Driving the entire race without a co-driver, Boris Said won the GT class in 2002 driving a 5.0- liter, M5-powered M3 for Bell Motorsports. Craig Stanton and Mike Fitzgerald, co-driving the same M3, finished a strong second in last year?s event ? only losing the lead in the very last turn of the race....
