  • Bad Luck Strikes Anchor Racing at Daytona
    Daytona Beach, FL - 2/5/2005 ? Following a disappointing qualifying session on Thursday, Anchor Racing hoped their luck would turn around for Friday?s race.   Unfortunately, that was not the case.  Early in the 200 mile endurance race, the No. 92 Anchor Racing BMW M3, driven by John Munson was struck again.  ?Yesterday, we were hit on the driver?s rear side.  Today, Automatic Racing?s BMW M3 hits us on the driver?s front side,? explained Munson.  ?The crew did an amazing job repairing the problem so we could finish the race.? Once the car was repaired, James Sofronas took the wheel and set the car?s fastest lap at 2:05.304, finishing 37th in the GS class....?Hard luck continued today,? reported Sofronas.  ?John was punted forty minutes into the race.  It broke the left front wheel and threw off the alignment.  Fortunately, the crew was able to repair the car.?...
