1987 - The first Z series was the E30 Z1. It was introduced in 1987 and had the engine
           from the E30 325i.
1992 - The Z1 went out of production.
1995 - The E36 Z3 was introduced in 1995. It was available as 2 door roadster. There was
           one model available: the 1.8. This model had the M43 four cylinder engine from the
           E36 3 series.
1996 - A Z3 1.9 came also available. This model had a 16 valve four cylinder engine from
           the E36 318is.
1997 - The Z3 2.8 was introduced. It had a six cylinder engine with 193 HP.
1998 - The Z3 1.8 received a new engine. It now had 118 HP. Also a coupe became
           available. This model had a 2.8 six cylinder with 193 HP.
1999 - The 2.0 six cylinder replaced the 1.9 four cylinder. All models received a facelift.
           The front was not changed but the rear lights were changed and the car looked bigger
           now. This was the same year that the Z8 was introduced. This new model has an
           eight cylinder engine with 400 HP and a top speed of 250 km/h.
2001 - Some very small engine updates. A new 2 litre with 170 HP and the replacement of
           the 2.8 with the 3.0 which has 231 HP.
