  • ROBBIE PECORARI CLAIMS 5TH PLACE
    St. Petersburg, FL – Robbie Pecorari driving the #13 Cabo Wabo Tequila Team KMA Racing Dallara claimed a 5th place finish in today’s third race of the Indy Pro Series at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix. With three top-10 finishes (8th at Homestead, 7th in Saturday’s race at St. Pete and 5th in today’s race at St. Pete) Robbie is now currently in 5th place in Championship points and 2nd in Rookie points. Team KMA Racing also currently sits in 5th place in Team points. “It was a very exciting weekend,” stated Team KMA co-owner Jon Lewis. “When we finished on top of the charts for the second practice session, we knew we had something here. The Team KMA crew did a great job putting a solid car underneath Robbie and Robbie did a masterful job on track. This weekend Brazil's "Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba "provides the setting for rounds 1 and 2 of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Once again the drivers of the BMW national teams will be joining the line-up in the BMW 320si WTCC - the car that helped Andy Priaulx (GBR) of BMW Team UK to victory in the driver's championship last year as well as earning BMW the manufacturers' title.     Formula BMW Germany race schedule for 2007. Formula BMW to make two appearances abroad in 2007. Munich, 05 March 2007. The young driving talents of Formula BMW Germany will be battling for the championship title on nine race weekends this season. Beyond the events in Germany, the drivers will also be appearing abroad on two occasions, chasing points on the North Sea coast in Zandvoort, Holland, and at the Spanish grand prix circuit of Barcelona. Spectators at three different race series will be able to size up the skills of these drivers, some as young as 15. Formula BMW will be staged as part of the support programme of the DTM (German Touring Car Masters), the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and the pinnacle of motor racing, Formula One. Seven appearances as part of DTM race weekends will see the junior contestants head for the Eurospeedway Lausitz, the Norisring city circuit in Nuremberg and the big season final in Hockenheim, among other venues.     Rockingham, 03 March, 2007. The Formula BMW UK Championship made a welcome return to the race track today, as 17 young drivers came together for the first time in the first official test session of the season at Rockingham. The weather proved helpful giving drivers the chance to shake down their FB02 machines in the dry on Friday, before rain fell through the night to provide some useful wet track time on Saturday morning. Rookie, Henry Surtees (Carlin Motorsport) showed early promise, topping the timesheets on Friday and finishing sixth on Saturday, with times of 1:20.189 and 1:20.590 respectively. The 16-year old commented: "It's great to get to some wet and dry laps at a test session, as you can learn so much more about how the car is performing. I'm really happy with how things are going so far".
