  • Formula BMW Germany 2007 - Welcome workshop for juniors.
    Start of the Education and Coaching Programme. Munich, 28 February 2007. The young Formula BMW Germany drivers sponsored by BMW in 2007 will meet in Munich on 5th March to mark the start of the Education and Coaching Programme for the Formula BMW Germany Juniors. In addition to a tour of BMW's motor sport division, the international line-up of racing talents will have the opportunity to meet BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen personally. The Juniors will also visit the Mobile Tradition division, a non-public "treasure house" containing historic BMW race and road models, concepts and other extraordinary one-offs. Taking part in the 2007 BMW sponsoring programme are Brazilian Pedro Bianchini, Dutchman Luuk Glansdorp, Frenchman Adrien Tambay and the two German drivers Kevin Mirocha and Jens Klingmann.   • Formula BMW Asia - Bumper entry for Formula BMW Asia 2007 scholarship trials.
    Sakhir, Bahrain - More than 20 fledgling racing drivers will meet at the BMW Performance Centre in Bahrain this weekend for one of the first major contests of their motorsport careers, and a chance to earn one of five coveted Formula BMW Asia Scholarships. The youngsters are all aged between 15 and 20, and hail from every corner of the Asia Pacific Region and beyond. From Southeast Asia come Kanit Kuevibulvanich of Thailand, Kim Jun-Tae of Korea, and three entries from Indonesia; Ryan Monoarfa, Ryan Haryanto and Kenny Kartasasmita. Chinese hopefuls David Zhu, the youngest participant at just 15, and Lin Ping-Yung join Fung Kin Hei, Ross Jamison and Kalson Chan from the Hong Kong SAR. The two Japanese entries are Ryuichi Nara and Shohei Shiromoto, while Omer Younas is the sole contender from Pakistan.   • WTCC - BMW REVS UP FOR THE START OF THE WORLD TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP
    2007 FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) BMW revs up for the start of the World Touring Car Championship. Impressive BMW driving quintet competes for points. Munich, 27th February 2007. There are now less than two weeks until the 2007 season of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) kicks off with two races in Curitiba, Brazil. When the "Autódromo Internacional" becomes the venue for World Championship point chasers for the first time this year on 11th March, it will also mark the start of the next chase to catch BMW and Andy Priaulx (GBR).     Halifax,NS / Cape Coral,FL February 26th, 2007-02-26 Team KMA Racing will offer young karters the opportunity to experience a first-hand, inside look at everything involved in a Formula BMW Championship weekend, a very important experience for young drivers considering an advancement into open-wheel racing. Two intern positions will be open at each event weekend on the 2007 Formula BMW USA Championship schedule, and are open to karters who live in the area of the races. Interns will receive crew member credentials, work with the Team in the paddock and pits, from the early mornings until our job is done. They will meet all our drivers, and have free time to talk and roam about the paddock when schedules allow.   • TEAM KMA RACING NOTES, HOMESTEAD-MIAMI OPEN TEST
    Homestead, FL (February 23, 2007) - Team KMA Racing with driver Robbie Pecorari concluded the initial shakedown of their new car yesterday during the Indy Pro Series Open Test at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Team KMA Formula BMW engineer Lucas Strackerjan was present to observe the difference in oval set up and Team KMA Formula BMW mechanic worked with the Indy Pro Series team to help change the car over from road to oval configuration. "Tuesday was more of a shakedown run for us than a real test," commented Jon Lewis, Team KMA co-owner. "This was the first time we've gotten the car out on the track since we took delivery of it earlier this month, so we spend a considerable amount of time just checking specific areas of the car and making several changes in set up just to get a comfortable baseline."   • TEAM KMA DRIVERS ON THE RIGHT TRACK
    Bloomingdale, GA (February 14, 2007) - Team KMA Racing's Formula BMW team with drivers Jeffrey Petriello, Julia Landauer and Mike Hill finished an extensive two-day test at Roebling Road on Tuesday posting very favorable results. "All our drivers progressed tremendously over the two days," stated Team KMA co-principal Jon Lewis. "You could see the determination in their eyes and the dedication to be the best at their craft.
