  • BMW Team PTG M3s Capture First Rolex Series GT Victory with 1-2 at Grand Prix of Miami
    Homestead, Fla. (February 28, 2004) -- BMW Team PTG was back in Victory Lane with a 1-2 BMW M3 finish at today?s Grand Prix of Miami. The win was the first for BMW Team PTG in only its second Rolex Sports Car Series race. BMW now moves to second in the GT Manufacturer Point Standings and BMW Team PTG moves to fourth in GT Team Owner Points. The No. 21 M3 of Boris Said and Bill Auberlen competed 105 laps around the 2.3-mile Homestead-Miami road course. They finished one lap ahead of the No. 22 M3 of teammates Justin  Marks and  Joey  Hand. The No. 22 was credited with the fastest lap  of the race (1:19.884). As the pole sitters and capturing the class win, Auberlen and Said also won the first Axiom Grand Touring Challenge Bonus of the season....

  • Said Puts BMW Team PTG M3 on GT Pole for Grand Prix of Miami
    BMW Team PTG was back in form today as Boris Said qualified the No. 21 BMW Team PTG M3 fastest in the GT field for Saturday?s 250-mile Grand Prix of Miami with a time of 1:19.325 around the 2.3-mile road course at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The No. 21 M3 of Said and Bill Auberlen was the fastest in Thursday?s practice session and was at the top of the 11-car GT  class time charts in today?s earlier practice sessions as well. Said captured the $1000 Axiom Grand Touring Challenge Pole Bonus and the first pole for BMW Team PTG in the Rolex Sports Car Series. Justin Marks qualified the No. 22 BMW Team PTG M3 fourth with a lap of 1:19.753. He will drive the No. 22 car with former Formula Atlantic standout Joey Hand of Concord, Ohio.     On Sunday 7th March, the WilliamsF1 BMW FW26 will make its race debut at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne, host to the Australian Grand Prix, the inaugural race of the 2004 season. The Formula One fraternity is enveloped by a sense of excitement and anticipation that inevitably accompanies the start of a new Championship.   • TURNER MOTORSPORT ANNOUNCES 2004 TOURING CAR PROGRAM

(Feb. 26, 2004) -- Turner Motorsport announced today that it will field a three-car team for the upcoming 2004 SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring Car season led by defending series Champion Bill Auberlen, of Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.   • Imola Test - Summary
    The BMW WilliamsF1 Team concluded a three day test programme at Imola today, the team's final session before the Formula One season kicks off in Melbourne on 7th March. Team drivers Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya were on hand to perform testing duties, with Ralf in the cockpit on Tuesday and Juan Pablo taking over the FW26 on Wednesday and Thursday. Freezing conditions and heavy rain hampered much of the test, however, the team managed to work through the scheduled programme, completing final set-up work for the season opener....
